I am experimenting with this one. I bought some cottonwood...yes, thats right cottonwood. I didn't know you could use this wood for making things. Well, I have tried. It works ok i guess, but I am trying to stain it and it is a "Bear" as you can see by the pictures. I will post additional pictures as things progress. May have to abandon the plan of staining it and paint it before its said and done....WE WILL SEE.
These two pictures are before glue-up and before finish.

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Had a little time this afternoon so I escaped to the shop for a little R & R. I changed the blade on my band saw and tuned it up.

A while back I purchased the parts and supplies for a small project I saw in one of the woodworking publications so it seemed like a good time to get started. I will post more as the project progresses. For now, lets play "What is it?"

I finally got to spend a little time in the shop this afternoon. I'm still working on the support structure for my saw table extension rails, Added the drawer today, gettin' closer .

Nothing happened in "Brads Wood Shop" tonight. I did do some "cogitating" however. Now that I have a bandsaw I'm going to resaw these four walnut logs given to me by one of "LuLu's" friends. They came from a tree they cut down two or three years ago. They should be dry enough by now and I have the equipment and courage to tackle them. I think I'll make her a jewelry box. hmmmm, winter planning.
